History
Was known as the Austrian White, the Holland White and now often simply as whites. The true Holland White had blue eyes whereas the modern commercial crosses have brown as coloured breeds were intoduced for hybrid vigour, these are often known as Holland Whites just to confuse people further. Many have a black tuft or beard from the breast (males). The flesh is finer grained than on the commercial types.
Characteristics
Males are 18-38 lbs. Females are 14-22 lbs.
