History
This little bird arrived in Great Britain around the middle of the last century. It took its name from its place of origin in China. It was supposed to have been found when the Emperors palace was sacked. They make good pets especially for children as well as good show birds as they have a docile nature and are very easy to tame. In the USA they are known as Cochin bantams.
